Since 2004, Artists’ Open Studio has provided casual, uninstructed art studio opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities to practice fine art skills along-side artists from the Huron County, Ohio area. Uniquely expressive art results when these artists work independently with the media of their choice, and are encouraged by fellow artists and facilitators.
Artists’ Open Studio provides art materials, prepares works for exhibit in local and state-wide venues and manufactures art related products to sell. These endeavors are supported by customers, contributors, by the Huron County Board of DD and by The Huron County Community Foundation.
“Visions Revealed” is an annual exhibit sponsored by AOS at the Ernsthausen Performing Arts Center in Norwalk, Ohio. This collaborative show features art from our studios along with works created in the studios at the Cleveland Clinic Cancer Center, Gaymont Nursing Center and the Autism Spectrum Kids summer art camp at Fisher-Titus Medical Center. Visit our Blog to view postings of our AOS Artist of the Month and current activities.
AOS designs, creates tools for, and over-sees the manufacture of several exceptional products in cooperation with CLI Inc. A signature element in many of our products is recycled glass. Visit our online shop to purchase stoneware with glass coasters and art tile intended as gifts or for exclusive installations.
To promote our individual artists, AOS designs and prints note cards and other stationery items featuring their work. Watch for new products on our blog and contact us for a quote to customize your printing order.
