Mosaic made by James O'Dor
We are ecstatic to share that we have been selected to be a vendor at a local event to celebrate The Biggest Week in American Birding. We will take part in the Wildlife Stop and Shop on May 5-14 at the Friends of Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge in Oak Harbor, Ohio. This event will be 10 days long and you can find us at the Refuge Ranger Station (Near the National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center) from 12-5 pm daily. The Biggest Week draws around 60,000 people to the area during that 10 day period. The crowd includes locals and people from all around the world who are visiting to witness the migration of migratory songbirds. The event includes presentations, guided hikes, tram tours, and food vendors. To see more about this event and the important work that The Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge does, we encourage you to visit their website at http://www.friendsofottawanwr.org.
Now, you may be asking... why AOS?? If you’re familiar with our studio and artists, you may understand why we are a good fit. If you’re not familiar, we’ll explain.. Many of our artists are inspired by nature. Our artists have been carving, drawing, painting, and expressing this interest since the beginning. One artist in particular with a passion for creating birds is the talented and beloved James O’Dor. We are excited to say that he has several new bird mosaics to present at this wonderful event! Clay fish by Shea Collins will be on display, as well as nature inspired paintings and ceramics from many of our artists! Our products such as recycled glass tiles and notecards will be available as well. This sneak peak won’t do it justice…make sure to follow our Instagram and Facebook pages to stay updated on this event! Happy Birding All!
