By tradition our studios are on R&R during the December holidays and for much of January. It is a time to Refresh and Redirect our strategies for the new year. While the artists are enjoying their snow days, the AOS Staff is busy sorting and framing art and getting ready for shows that are coming up this spring.
The first show on our calendar is the VSA /Accessible Expressions 2018 Exhibit which opens on March 24th in Westerville. Art accepted for this show was make by: Jesse Fields, Nate Lucal, James O’Dor and Tony Ringholz. It’s a “big deal” to have work chosen for this state-wide competitive exhibit. Congratulations guys!
We know that all of the artists are anxious to get back to their clay and easels. The winter studio groups will begin on January 23rd and 25th. There is more great art to be created!
THIS IS THE FINAL WEEK for you to view the fantastic art in the Visions Revealed Exhibit which features artists from Cleveland Clinic Cancer Centers, Gaymont Nursing Center, Artists Open Studio along with other local artists.

One of the unique aspects of this show is the diversity of art and artists who participate. Because of our collaboration of studios, you will see drawings, paintings, fiber arts, assemblages, ceramics and sculpture by artists from all abilities and all walks of life. They are beginning, discovering, emerging and professional artists with great passion for expressing their deepest thoughts.
A recent artist visitor said, "This is the best show I have seen all year. I have been to several exhibits of beautiful art, but this show is different. These artists speak plainly from their hearts."
Visions Revealed is the grand culmination of a year of creativity for the 44 artists who make their art at Artists' Open Studio. The excitement is building as they wait for Opening Night at the Ernsthausen Performing Arts Center Gallery, 350 Shady Lane Drive, Norwalk. The festivities start on Friday, June 16th at 4:00 pm. Mosaic artist James O'Dor will show you how he makes his masterpieces beginning at 5:00. Please join us for this evening of celebration.
Just letting you know that the Ernsthausen Gallery is looking good with color, color everywhere and more art yet to be installed. Here is a sneak peek at some AOS ceramic art that will be on display. You won't want to miss our opening reception Friday, June 16 from 4:00-7:00. AOS ceramic artist, James O'Dor will be there demonstrating his mosaic art techniques and showing off his fantastic bird mosaics.

The oil painting live demonstration presented by Nathan Lucal and Tony Ringholz was well attended yesterday at the opening reception of Visions Revealed 2016. In this photo you can see the artists beginning their work with their art displays in the background. Although there are no awards given for this exhibit, we recognize Tony and Nate for their "Best of Show" demo. Thanks guys!
Here is another Sneak Peek at 4 of the 42 AOS artists who are anxious to share their latest art with you at their annual Visions Revealed Art Exhibit. Their paintings and ceramic art are displayed along with paintings by their staff and artists from Norwalk, Milan, Huron, Vermilion, Sandusky, Port Clinton, Tiffin, Attica and Mansfield. It is truly the biggest and best Visions Revealed Show yet. You won't want to miss the opening reception: Friday, June 17 at the Ernsthausen Performing Arts Center Gallery, 350 Shady Lane Drive, Norwalk, Ohio 44857. After 32 busy weeks of creativity, the AOS artists are taking a break. Meanwhile, invitations are being sent and posters hung announcing their twelfth annual art exhibit. Visions Revealed 2016 opens on Friday, June 17th from 1:00 - 7:00 pm. at the Ernsthausen Performing Arts Center Gallery, 350 Shady Lane, Norwalk, Ohio. Nearly 100 artists and guests gathered June 19th at the Ernsthausen Performing Arts Center Gallery to enjoy the opening reception of the 2015 Visions Revealed Art Exhibit. Paintings, drawings, ceramic art, fiber art and photography make up this diverse display by artists from Huron, Erie and Seneca Counties. The event kicked off a month-long show open to the public Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9:00 am. and noon through July 16. On July 17 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. "Evening at the Arts" with Fisher-Titus Autism Spectrum Kids will bring the exhibit to a exciting close.
It's show time! The Ernsthausen Gallery is resplendent with colorful paintings and pottery. We are anxious to welcome guests - no charge - just fun. Of course there will be art and products that you just won't be able to go home without, so you may want to bring your wallet.
We are dedicating this year's show to the memory of the late Richard Coombs, an artist from Artists' Open Studio whose smile greets us each time we open our website. He is greatly missed.

RICK FLETCHER always has a narrative to share about his work and often cites movies or videos which inspired it. He enjoys drawing caricatures of favorite celebrities or cartoon favorites. But, Rick is beginning to feel more adventurous and will have some very different work to show in the Visions Revealed 2015 Exhibit in June.
SANDY DONNAMILLER comes to AOS painting studio to draw, but even more so to make her fascinating and very popular montages. You see, Sandy loves threads! She finds great pleasure in unraveling and pulling them from colorful woven fabrics. Combining her thread collection with found objects Sandy makes unique art pieces that are truly her own. “Midas Touch” is touring the state of Ohio in the 2015 VSA exhibit. Congratulations Sandy!
We are proud to announce that six artists from Artists’ Open Studio will be honored at the opening reception for VSA Accessible Expressions Ohio Art Exhibit. The event will be held at Westerville Community Center on Saturday, March 14 at noon.
Started in 1996, Accessible Expressions Ohio is an adjudicated, statewide exhibition and tour of visual art for artists of all ages with disabilities. This professional development opportunity helps raise awareness about art and disability by presenting the art in inclusive settings around the state of Ohio.
