BARB SEEVERS draws exclusively and masterfully with colored pencil. Her colors are clean and bold to enhance her small abstracted motifs. Barb is always ready to turn on a smile as she works quietly in AOS Painting Studio, filling her portfolio with beautiful drawings of natural forms each day.

Just letting you know that the Ernsthausen Gallery is looking good with color, color everywhere and more art yet to be installed. Here is a sneak peek at some AOS ceramic art that will be on display.  You won't want to miss our opening reception Friday, June 16 from 4:00-7:00. AOS ceramic artist, James O'Dor will be there demonstrating his mosaic art techniques and showing off his fantastic bird mosaics.

Installation begins this week as we prepare the beautiful Ernsthausen gallery for the best work of 2017. Here are four more painting segments to kindle your curiosity for Visions Revealed on June 16th.

FRED WAGNER is a very creative guy! He has been making his unique artistic statements in both AOS Painting and Ceramic studios for 13 years. Fred prefers to use markers colored pencils and pens on paper for his colorful geometric designs. However, inspired by a visitor’s purse, he substitutedfabric markers to design cloth for his “Fashion Model Bag”. In Ceramic studio Fred is even more adventurous. He enriches his pottery and clever sculptural forms with incised lines, glazes with vivid colors and gives his art imaginative titles. (Tokyo is a favorite subject.) Fred may be a quiet worker, but he has a fantastic sense of humor.

Our studios are hopping with activity this Spring. We have displayed our work at the Firelands Area Art League Show last weekend. Now we are preparing for a special vendor opportunity in May at the Biggest Week in American Birding event at the Ottawa National Wildlife Reserve near Oak Harbor, Ohio. Watch for details in future posts. Meanwhile, here are some great art pieces that might bring a bit of Spring to your home.  These are all available for purchase from our website gallery and shop.

TAMMY TWADDLE was one of the Charter Artists of Artists’ Open Studio. She has been drawing and painting with us since 2004. In recent years, Tammy has been combining materials to create some intriguing mixed media art. One of these, “Picket Fences” has won a spot in the Accessible Expressions Ohio exhibit sponsored by VSA and will tour the state throughout 2017. Keep up the good work Tammy!
