JOE CONWAY has joined us in AOS Painting Studio to add a lot of fun to our meetings. Behind his soft-spoken demeanor, he has a great sense of humor and an amazing ability to make these fantastic renditions of his favorite comic heroes drawn larger than life in colored pencil. We look forward to more of Joe’s work this year.

TERRY WALKDEN has found art making to be a great pleasure and participates in both AOS Painting and Ceramic studios. He pays close attention to detail in all that he creates. Terry’s curiosity has led him to some unique experiments this year. In painting studio he made a composition of fabric applique by drawing with colored pencils, then hand-stitching to complete his design. In ceramic studio he carved a bas-relief plaque with a bird. Unfortunately, the large tile cracked in the firing, but with a supportive wooden mount the finished art is even more exceptional. Terry is a hard worker and often assists in AOS tile production.

FRED WAGNER is a very creative guy! He has been making his unique artistic statements in both AOS Painting and Ceramic studios for 13 years. Fred prefers to use markers colored pencils and pens on paper for his colorful geometric designs. However, inspired by a visitor’s purse, he substitutedfabric markers to design cloth for his “Fashion Model Bag”. In Ceramic studio Fred is even more adventurous. He enriches his pottery and clever sculptural forms with incised lines, glazes with vivid colors and gives his art imaginative titles. (Tokyo is a favorite subject.) Fred may be a quiet worker, but he has a fantastic sense of humor.

TAMMY TWADDLE was one of the Charter Artists of Artists’ Open Studio. She has been drawing and painting with us since 2004. In recent years, Tammy has been combining materials to create some intriguing mixed media art. One of these, “Picket Fences” has won a spot in the Accessible Expressions Ohio exhibit sponsored by VSA and will tour the state throughout 2017. Keep up the good work Tammy!

TIM SMITH loves to draw – really loves to draw! He could spend hours at the drawing board making meticulous renderings of house floor plans, building exteriors with all the ornamentation and details. Then, suddenly, he has switched subjects and is drawing animals or his favorite celebrities. Tim has been making art at AOS since 2004. He works exclusively with ball point pen, markers colored pencils.

TRACEY LYNCH

Tracey Lynch enjoys the creative social atmosphere of Artists’ Open Studio. She makes very delicate drawings with colored pencil and uses watercolor and watercolor pencils during painting studio. But Tracey seems to be even fonder of working with clay. In Ceramic studio last year, she created a lovely birdhouse and several whimsical figures. With her cheerful personality Tracey offer lots of fun for all of us at AOS.

ALBERT GREENLIEF may end his busy workday playing on a sports team with his friends, or creating art work in our AOS studios. Although his busy schedule has limited his drawing time, some of his botanical art is still available. Clay is his art medium of choice and he enjoys making sturdy vessels and imaginative sculptural pieces. Be sure to check his gallery page to see more of his work.
