Main street studio
Since the beginning, AOS has been a hidden gem. Now, we are thrilled to bring our mission to the heart of the community with Main Street Studio at 32 East Main Street in Norwalk.
Main Street Studio is key in not only increasing AOS’s visibility, but fully realizing its mission.
The Uptown space features:
A rotating gallery to showcase AOS and local community artists. When you buy an original piece of AOS artwork, you create income for local artists with disabilities and further fund AOS programs.
A retail space featuring AOS products which include handmade ceramics, jewelry, note cards, merchandise and more. Product sales fund the mission so that AOS can remain self-sustained.
An event space to engage with local community members and neighboring businesses.
An accessible and inclusive space for AOS artists and community members to engage in weekly painting and drawing studios.
Main Street Studio allows AOS to support artists with disabilities in ways we’ve never been able to, while increasing visibility of the organization as a whole. Main Street Studio opened in July 2020 with incredible success after months of renovation and upgrading to become accessible to all. As we strive to make the space even more inclusive to our artists, we need your help. Contact us for more details or to donate to volunteer time toward this effort.
